The accompanying publication ‘Concrete in Switzerland: Histories from the Recent Past’ is being released by publishing house EPFL Press to coincide with the opening of the exhibition. It combines 13 essays by Swiss and international experts on general, architectural, technological and social history, and presents key concrete structures in all of Switzerland’s regions. The nine ‘concrete stories’ from the exhibition are enlarged upon here in richly illustrated essays by exhibition curator Sarah Nichols. This groundbreaking work is a result of cooperation between the three major Swiss architecture archives and the S AM Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel.
