Sevince Bayrak and Oral Göktaş from Studio SO? in Istanbul curated the Turkish Pavilion at the current Venice Biennale, which received a lot of attention. Titled "Ghost Stories: The Carrier Bag Theory of Architecture," the exhibition documents a wide variety of abandoned buildings across the country. With an exhilarating spatial scenography of printed fabric hanging from the ceiling they show how long-abandoned buildings can be brought back to life and provide a new perspective for the future of a country ravaged by severe earthquakes and an ongoing economic crisis.
